碳中和国际研究中心是由杭州市国新院组建的新型科教协同创新机构,下设新能源与储能、排放治理与环境气候、能源测量与碳计量、低碳政策与管理等多个研究方向。平台面向国家战略需求和国际学术前沿,覆盖航空航天、电力、冶金等行业低碳减排全环节,服务于国家“双碳”战略需求。
平台由首席科学家闫勇院士牵头,汇聚了一支包括孙艳明教授、陈龙飞教授、范英教授等多名长江、杰青等高层次人才科研团队。研究聚焦于开发新能源技术,降低化石能源消耗;工业低碳优化运行、高精度碳计量、航空排放适航检测,发展可持续航空能源;碳足迹管理用于工业过程与产品全生命周期评估等。团队具有雄厚的研究基础和实力,已承担多项国家及省部级重点项目和国际合作项目。
平台下设三个研究方向:
1. 能源测量与碳计量方向:
碳捕集、利用及封存链中的仪器科学与测量技术;多相流检测技术;燃烧过程及污染物排放监测技术;基于人工智能的检测技术;数字孪生技术;计算流体力学;静电、电容、压电、电磁、声学、光学、图像等传感器;复杂工业过程状态监测。
2.光伏与储能方向:
能源科学技术(光伏技术、储能技术、氢能及燃料电池等),化学(物理化学),光学工程(光学测量与检测、光电子技术)。
3.排放治理与环境气候方向:
动力工程及工程热物理(工程热物理、热能工程、动力机械及工程、制冷及低温工程等)、环境科学与工程(环境科学、环保设备工程、环境工程、碳捕集与利用)、大气科学(大气物理学与大气环境、气象学)、航空宇航科学与技术(航空宇航推进理论与工程)、机械工程(流体机械及工程)。
International Research Center for Carbon Neutralization (IRCCN) is a new science and education collaborative innovation platform established by Hangzhou International Innovation Institute. IRCCN conducts active research in main themes, including Photovoltaic and Energy Storage, Emission Management and Environmental Climate, Energy Measurement and Carbon Metrology, Low Carbon Policy and Management. IRCCN is established to meet national strategic needs and international academic frontiers, covering many scientific and technological aspects of low-carbon emission reduction in aerospace, power generation, metallurgy and other energy-intensive industries, and serving the national needs of the "dual carbon" strategy.
IRCCN, led by Lead Scientist, Professor Yan Yong, is an international, high-level research team comprising several Outstanding Youth Talents, Professor Sun Yanming, Professor Chen Longfei, Professor Fan Ying etc. The research themes include Development and utilization of new energy technologies to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels; Aviation emissions airworthiness testing, development of sustainable aviation energy and green operation methods; Real-time monitoring of energy conversion and pollutant emissions, precision measurement of carbon dioxide in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage; carbon footprint management for industrial processes and products. IRCCN has solid research foundation and strong capability in the field of carbon neutrality and has undertaken a number of national and provincial key projects as well as international collaborative projects.
IRCCN is an interdisciplinary research platform that integrates the university's leading disciplinary resources. It encompasses the following three main research themes:
1. Energy Measurement and Carbon Metrology
Instrumentation and measurement technology in the chain of carbon capture, utilization, and storage; multiphase flow metering technology; technology for combustion process monitoring and pollutant emission measurement; artificial intelligence-based measurement technology; digital twin technology; computational fluid dynamics; sensors and sensor systems (electrostatic, capacitive, piezoelectric, electromagnetic, acoustic, optical, imaging, etc.); monitoring of complex industrial processes.
2. Photovoltaics and Energy Storage
Energy science and technology (photovoltaic technology, energy storage technology, hydrogen energy and fuel cells, etc.); chemistry (physical chemistry); optical engineering (optical measurement and detection, optoelectronic technology).
3.Emission Control and Environmental Climate Studies
Power engineering and engineering thermophysics (engineering thermophysics, thermal energy engineering, power machinery and engineering, refrigeration and cryogenic engineering, etc.); environmental science and engineering (environmental science, environmental protection equipment engineering, environmental engineering, carbon capture and utilization); atmospheric science (atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment, meteorology); aeronautical and astronautical science and technology (aerospace propulsion theory and engineering); mechanical engineering (fluid machinery and engineering).
